Code of Conduct

Welcome to Banditos Gaming!

We strive to create a safe, inclusive, and fun gaming community. By attending our events (in-person or online), you agree to follow this Code of Conduct. Violations may result in warnings, removal, or further action.

I. Expected Behavior

All attendees must:

  • ✅ Be Respectful – Treat everyone with kindness, regardless of identity or background.

  • ✅ Practice Good Sportsmanship – Play well, have fun, and support a positive environment.

  • ✅ Follow Event Rules – Adhere to venue policies and event-specific guidelines.

  • ✅ Maintain Hygiene – Keep yourself and your space clean. We encourage the 6/2/1 Rule—at least 6 hours of sleep, 2 meals a day, and 1 shower daily.

  • ✅ Cooperate with Staff & Volunteers – Follow instructions and report concerns.

II. Etiquette

✅ DO:

  • Play to win, but prioritize fun – Competition is great, but the goal is a good experience for all.

  • Follow the rules and play fairly – Respect the integrity of the game and trust others to do the same.

  • Be patient and welcoming to new players – Help them learn and feel included.

  • Assist with rule explanations – Some games are complex, and a supportive group enhances the experience.

  • Commit to the full game session – If you start a game, see it through.

  • Take turns promptly – Plan ahead to keep the game moving smoothly.

  • Stay engaged and present – Focus on the game and the people at the table.

  • Follow the rules explanation – A clear start leads to a better game for everyone.

🚫 AVOID:

  • Take losing personally – Celebrate others’ victories and enjoy the experience.

  • Cheat or accuse others unfairly – Games rely on trust and fair play.

  • Dominate the table – Allow others to speak, strategize, and play their own turns.

  • Be a ‘rules lawyer’ – Clarify rules as a group when needed.

  • Quit mid-game – Leaving disrupts the experience for everyone.

  • Rush other players – Encourage thoughtful play without pressuring others.

  • Be distracted – Avoid excessive phone use or unrelated conversations during play.

  • Damage game components – Keep food, drinks, and rough handling away from game pieces.

  • Interrupt the rules explanation – A solid understanding leads to a smoother experience.

III. Unacceptable Behavior

  • 🚫 Harassment & Discrimination – No offensive comments, intimidation, stalking, or unwelcome advances.

  • 🚫 Disruptive Conduct – No excessive loudness, arguing, or game interruptions.

  • 🚫 Inappropriate Content – No sexual, violent, or hateful language or imagery.

  • 🚫 Theft & Damage – Respect all game materials and personal property.

  • 🚫 Unauthorized Solicitation – No unapproved sales or promotions.

  • 🚫 Illegal Activities – No drug use or unlawful behavior.

If asked to stop unacceptable behavior, comply immediately.

IV. Special Considerations

  • 👶 Children – Kids under 12 must be with an adult. Get guardian permission before involving them in games or photos.

  • 🎲 Game Borrowing – Treat borrowed games well and return them in good condition.

  • 🛠 Prototypes & Playtesting – Don’t claim open tables or promote games without prior approval.

V. Health & Safety

  • 😷 Stay Home if Sick – Do not attend any in-person gatherings if unwell or exposed to illness.

  • 🔴 Follow Health Policies – Adhere to any event-specific health guidelines.

  • 📢 Report Issues – Inform staff of harassment, safety concerns, or misconduct.

VI. Consequences of Violations

  • Breaking these rules may lead to:

    • ⚠️ Warnings (verbal or written)

    • ⛔ Expulsion (temporary or permanent)

    • 🚫 Bans from Future Events and/or the Organization

  • Reports will be handled privately and fairly.
